I stepped carefully into a structure that appeared to be a house. The floor was covered with so much rubble, it was hard to find a good spot to place my foot as I walked. The steps on the staircase were not yet clearly defined and there were no railings in place. The rooms looked so small and all the surfaces were rough – walls and ceilings. The only consolation was that men were at work in different parts of the house. This building was clearly work in progress.
Does your life ever feel like a construction site?
Well, I went back to that building a few months later and this time, it looked super. The work was done and all the fittings were in place. The painting was so nicely done and the blend of colours gave each room a unique feel. It was good to see the difference that a combination of a good plan, skilled workmen, excellent supervision and a lot of money could make in the outcome of a project.
Who is the architect and builder of your life? What commitments have they made to assure you of a desirable outcome?
I know a builder whose terms are awesome. He makes commitments such as these – ‘For I know the plans I have for you; they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’ and ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will be with you till the end of time’. This same builder also said ‘I will watch over my word (the plan) to make it happen’. What reassuring terms.
Peradventure you need his contact details, let me know. It would be my pleasure to connect you.
